Each of us can face a battle and this battle is against backsliding.  Our walk with God is intended to be directional.  The Bible says we are dead to sin and we should continue forward in our spiritual growth; our growth with God.  We need to be aware that we should continue our growth in God’s Word as we embrace the salvation He offers through His Son Jesus Christ.  But, if we are not cautious with the things we allow in our lives, that sin which was dead can rise up and our forward progress ceases as we backslide away from God.  Pastor John’s message is from Matthew as he teaches about the battle against backsliding.
